Whatever situation you face in life just remind yourself that God has not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7).

God is here to help us. It is impossible for us to know all and have the answers to every situation we face in our lives. There is nothing that happens in this life that God doesn’t know about. Nothing takes him by surprise. He is still on the throne and he is in control. We live in a fallen world. Sometimes we may not understand why events happen the way they do, but God knows the reasons why. Even when we go through deaths of family members, loss of jobs, or family difficulties, God still loves us and he wants the best for us. His thoughts toward us are for good not evil. Romans 8:28 states, “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.”

We are not called to do our own thing. We belong to God. He has called us for a purpose. In 2 Timothy 1:9 it states, “Who hath saved us, and called us with a holy calling not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began.

It is time that we take the focus off ourselves and place God first in our lives. Matthew 22:37 states, “Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul and with all they mind.: Once we do that, and let God take control our problems will not feel so overwhelming and out of control.
